MRSEC Eduation and Outreach The University of Wisconsin's Materials Research Science and Engineering Center on Nanostructured Materials (MRSEC) was established by the National Science Foundation to carry out research in the formation, characterization, and exploitation of materials at the nanoscale - the scale of individual atoms. Prof. Crone is involved with the education and outreach efforts of UW's MRSEC, which focuses on the development of new instructional materials, production of laboratory manuals, models and kits, as well as outreach presentations, undergraduate research experiences, and collaborations with area high school and middle school teachers.
